Gold Accented Porcelain Invalid Feeder

Often found in many homes late in the 19th into the 20th century, invalid feeders were used to facilitate the feeding of invalids. A liquid or semi-soft food was placed in the feeder and the spout was then placed in the person's mouth. This lovely example is made of pure white porcelain, and features gold trim around the edge, along the handle and up the spout, plus a measurement guide inside. The bottom reads '261', also in gold.

It measures 14cm wide (including the spout) and approximately 7.5cm tall.
